May has been quite the month. In the last three weeks, I have graduated college and started a brand new, full time job. In the coming week, I move out of my first apartment to a beautiful new townhome. Despite having had “adult” responsibilities all throughout undergrad, nothing prepares you for what you have to take on upon graduation. This month has felt bill after bill and obstacle after obstacle to really get my feet firmly planted in post-grad life. After I move this coming week, I’m hoping life will stand down and I’ll really be able to enjoy my successes a little more.
I’ve spent the last week slowly packing my life into boxes as I prepare to move. I actually called several moving companies to get on moving and packing services that just seemed so daunting, but their numbers were far out of my price range. No one informs you quite how challenging taking on an unfurnished apartment with just a one year lease to make it feel like home can be. Finding pieces can be challenging enough, let alone finding ones that complement each other well and match your style. Coupled with work, school, family, and other responsibilities, you can imagine how furnishing and styling my living space falls low on the priority list. I’ve picked up several special pieces for decorating inspiration over my last lease, but have spent far too much time and money on designing a space I now am moving from.
CORT can certain lessen some of the stressors moving creates. Take more time to focus on what matters most such as school and work in times of transition into, during, or out of college, and allow CORT Furniture Rental to handle the task. Student pricing begins at just $119/month which seems well worth the investment to save yourself the hassle if you’re independent or adulting like me. I never took myself for much of a renter, but why not simplify the process? You rent your textbooks, why not rent furniture too? Check this set you can rent below. I mean, bedroom goals, am I right? Cheers to moving onto (or into!) bigger and better things!
